The Sun Valley Dads Club (SVDC) is a group of dads/parents supporting their kiddos, other parents, and Sun Valley Elementary via events focused on building community and helping support the facility goals at school. We are a casual bunch but aim to help our kids navigate the ups and downs of school and childhood. Most of our events focus on extracurricular activities to engage parents with their kids, along with improvement projects for Sun Valley Elementary.
Who can join? Anyone who wants to build a community of dads in Sun Valley. Events are voluntary; we really get out what you put in.
Meetings are usually held at Pond Farm Brewery in San Rafael every first Thursday of the month.
Events scheduled for the 2022-2023 school year include (but are not limited to–see the Events Page):
- Back to School Picnic at Sun Valley Park
- A Night of Glow Golf at McInnis Park
- Bikes and BBQ at Stafford Lake
- Camping Weekend in Olema (tickets available now!)
- Kinderyard Sandbox at Sun Valley Elementary and other projects (when it stops raining!)
